Storefront widget architecture
The customer-facing review widget was rebuilt from the ground up as a framework-agnostic Web Component using Shadow DOM. It was a deliberate architectural choice, evolved from an earlier Loox-widget reference point, made to:
- keep the widget's styles fully isolated from the merchant's theme CSS, with no style bleed in either direction;
- make it drop-in compatible with any Shopify theme, Online Store 2.0 or legacy, without JavaScript framework conflicts;
- keep the widget lightweight and fast-loading, supporting the Built for Shopify performance bar.

Data and permissions
